Props

Posted: November 9, 2012 in Uncategorized

When it came to Props in our music video, we again used the location and the shots used in that location to organize what we needed. Here is how we organised it:

Hotel Room Shots: Empty beer bottles, ash trays, cigarette ends, empty cigarette/smoking related packets, and toiletries for the bathroom shots. Just enough to make them look like a young band doing one of their first international tours.

Empty Beer Bottles

Cigarette Butts

Ash Tray

Corridor Shots: None, other than costume/character related props

Television Studio Shots: Instruments, our own guitars, drums and microphone, and items of relevance like plectrums, drumsticks etc.

Guitars

Bass Guitar

Drum Kit

Mic and Mic Stand

Then it came to character props, because each of the female character’s were transformed into supernatural beings. The only character however that needed a prop other than the costumes was the Grim Reaper, as it needed a scythe.  After Halloween however, it was hard to find one. A friend did dress up as the Grim Reaper for Halloween  so we’re planning to preview that, although the idea may be scrapped because the girls will be running through corridors, the use of a prop small scythe may be unnecessary and cause continuity errors.
